Me in Short

I 'm born and raised in a little village called St. Annaparochie in the province of Friesland in the Netherlands.

In october 1997 I finished my M.Sc. Thesis in Electrical Engineering at the University of Twente in Enschede.

After a short assignment at the University of Twente and my first job at the company that is now called Yacht, I moved to Utrecht. In march 1999 I started working at Logica (CMG back then). My current focus is on Connected Services.

In june 2002 I moved into my newly built house in Utrecht.

Badminton was my favorite and best sport which I played at the badminton club Conquesto in Zoetermeer. Unfortunately I had to stop playing because of a knee-injury. In september 2008 I picked up tabletennis instead at TTV SVE, it is less demanding on my knees.

Besides tabletennis I play tennis in the spring and the summer at LTC Vechtlust in Utrecht (I designed and maintain this website). Check out my (poor ;-) tennis results.

Since I already played two (and now three) racketsports I got involved in Racketlon. A racketlon match contains four sets, one in each racket sport (tabletennis, badminton, squash, tennis). The Racketlon community is growing!

Travelling is another hobby of mine, especially hiking in the mountains or wandering the rainforest. Check out the pictures on my travels page!
